Explanation of Celtic symbols. Meaning and affecting

*** TRIQUETRA ***

Triquetra is an old Celtic symbol attributed to the sun goddess Brigid, patroness of healing and art. The energy of this magical sign evokes harmony, strength and peace. Triquetra sign

is a strong protective amulet, providing peace, harmony and a shield against evil. In antiquity, items decorated with this sign were to ensure a happy and long life.

The inner three circles of the Triquetra represent the female element and fertility. Represents the mysticism of the female spirit and all its power. Triquetra supports the process of making your dreams come true.

The Celtic knot (Triquetra) symbolizes perfection and an unbreakable bond. Its shape signifies the winding paths of human life, and the triple knots strengthen love and friendship. This symbol protects against slander, illusion and falsehood. It strengthens the love and emotions that connect two people. The ribbon in this symbol signifies the unity of the world, i.e. the fact that man is an inseparable part of a greater spiritual system.

This symbol is also an important sign for the Wiccans, depicting the slogan: "Whatever you do, it will come back to you with a triple force"

Wiccans & Neopagans

For the above groups, the Trinity knot is symbolic of the threefold nature of the Goddess as mother, maiden and crone. The mother as a goddess is representative of creation, the maiden is representative of innocence and the crone is representative of wisdom. It is also representative of the forces of nature (earth, fire and water) and the three interlocking circles are symbolic of female fertility.

The Pagan Celtic Triquetra Symbol

The triple nature of the feminine Divine is a popular theme in ancient pagan lore. The tripartite representation is probably most famous as the Triple Goddess. This symbol shows a full moon in the center with a waxing moon on one side and a waning moon on the other.

Thus, for the ancient Celts who populated the northern European regions before the rise of Christianity, the triquetra was very closely associated with nature and Life. The interpretations strongly hint at it being more closely associated with the female than the male.

Triquetras dating to the pagan age of the Celts has been found inscribed on rocks.

That shape was connection to the miracle of Life, both during the act of creating life upon union of man and woman, and the welcoming of life into the world upon birth.

Other Possible Meanings

According to the Celts, the most important things in the world came in threes; three domains (earth, sea and sky), three elements, three stages of life etc. It is also possible that the Triquetra signified the lunar and solar phases. During excavations of various archaeological sites from the Celtic era, a number of Trinity knot symbols have been found alongside solar and lunar symbols.

*** TRISKELION ***

Triskelion spirals are thought to signify: land, sea, sky; life, death, rebirth; past, present, future; father, mother, child; the three trimesters of human pregnancy; and many others. The three legs of the triskelion seem to move outward from the center, suggesting motion, especially circular motion, which was of utmost importance to the Celts, as many of their legends involved rebirth and, like many ancient cultures, believed the cyclicality of nature. The symbol is often associated with Manannán mac Lir, the Celtic god of the sea. Even today the sole decoration on the flag of the Isle of Man, which is thought to have been named after him (though some argue the reverse—that Manannán was named for the island), is three legs forming a triskelion spiral.

*** CELTIC TREE OF LIFE ***

The Celtic Tree of Life symbol has many different interpretations. The Tree of Life is a representation harmony and balance in nature. The Tree of Life, to the Celts, symbolized strength, a long life, and wisdom. The tree also represents rebirth, as it will lose its leaves during the fall season, hibernate throughout the winter, and will be reborn again once spring arrives. The Celts also believed that they actually came from trees, and considered them magical, living beings. Trees were said to guard the land and acted as a doorway into the spirit world.

The Tree of Life connects the lower and upper worlds as its roots grow far down while its branches reach high. The tree trunk connects both of these worlds to the Earth’s plane. It was with this connection of worlds, that it was said that people are able communicate with the gods in the heavens using the Tree of Life.

... and all those beautiful stories can be depicted on the walls of Your room :)

*** Chromotherapy *** - Secret power of the colorful light

The lamp is equipped with Multicolored RGB Led Chromotherapy bulb. With pilot You can choose Your favourite color, or Smooth Mode which softly changes one color to another giving the filigree and stunning colorful shadows on the walls and ceiling of Your room.

Color light therapy assumes that colors can affect human health and the state of mind (waves affect not only the brain, but also all cells in our body). Thanks to the colored light, it is possible to stimulate the work of the brain, as well as influence the photosensitive structures of our body. Light makes the self-healing processes of the human body run more efficiently.

Examples of the influence of individual colors:

*Red colour

Red supports the functioning of the immune system. improves circulation, increases the production of red blood cells, improves metabolism, increases body temperature, supports the functioning of our muscles. It is worth using it in the case of colds, rheumatism or anemia. Interestingly, it is believed that red light accelerates wound healing and scarring. Red is the color of passion and vitality. It has pressure-increasing and stimulating properties. Red makes us feel stronger and bolder.

*Blue color

Blue cools, relaxes and calms down. Thanks to it, we can lower blood pressure and muscle tension. Blue can regulate the cardiovascular system, improve metabolism and fight infections. This color has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect - it is used in the case of migraines and diseases accompanied by increased body temperature.

*Orange color

The orange color is recommended for people who need mobilization to act. This color gives us energy and allows us to be optimistic about the reality that surrounds us. Orange supports the digestive system, regulates blood pressure, and is also helpful in weight loss. Orange, like red, has a stimulating effect (however, it is a bit milder), and also improves concentration.

*Pink color

Rose evokes positive emotions, puts us in a good mood, gives us energy. Shades of pink can help with diseases of the heart and the entire circulatory system.

The color pink should be used by weakened, depressed people suffering from lack of appetite.

*Violet colour

It is worth using it for meditation, because it has a positive effect on the nervous system, allows you to concentrate and calm down. It is believed that violet can regulate the functioning of the endocrine system, so people who have problems with this background should reach for it. Thanks to the purple color, you can relieve migraine headaches.

*Turquoise

Turquoise is a stress reliever.

Thanks to it, it is easier to get into a reflective mood, it makes us more creative and sensitive.
